What kind of space can be formed at the meeting point of a nightclub and a dance studio? 

How far / wide / high / low / weird / intense / (enter your desired adjective) / can a Dj-Dancers’ encounter get? 

“3rd Floor” is a temporary space to collectively explore these questions. We provide the floor, the djs, the dance teachers, you bring yourselves.

Format

Part 1: Gear up 

A guided 50-minute movement class to expand your physical vocabulary and open up your dance. No steps to follow. No choreography to remember.Just tools, concepts, and textures for improvisation, led by a rotating group of teachers

Part 2: Experiment

50 dancers meet 1 DJ for 90 minutes of full-bodied exploration. 

Not a party. Not a class. a fantastic dance floor experiment.

An opportunity to immerse yourself in musical journeys crafted by masterful DJs, each invited to challenge standard dancefloor norms with selections heard seldom under strobes or smoke

ALTE FEUERWACHE. a two-month cultural activation of the former fire station at Tempelhof Airport

You don’t need dance experience. You just need curiosity, and your body. This is a space for those who want to explore the dance floor as a place for creative energy, playful expression, and spontaneous co-creation.
